Hiring Home Health Aides (HHA) – Join PHILIA Caring Team in Washington, DC

We are currently seeking experienced and dependable Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our team and support clients in their homes. Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including help with walking, transferring, and range-of-motion exercises.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, meal preparation, and tidying living areas.
  • Assist with medication reminders and monitor clients' health and well-being.
  • Provide companionship and engage in conversation to support emotional and mental well-being.
  • Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or social activities as needed.
  • Maintain open communication with the client, family members, and care team to ensure the highest quality of care.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Home Health Aide (HHA).
  • Minimum of 2 year of experience working as a Home Health Aide or similar caregiving role.
  • Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques, including personal care and household management.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow a care plan.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to client homes.
  • Flexibility to work weekends or evenings, if needed.
  • Fully COVID-19 vaccinated
