Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one care for a child with special needs.
- Assist with daily routines, including meal preparation, feeding, personal care, and hygiene.
- Engage the child in activities that support their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Monitor and manage behavior, providing positive reinforcement and redirection as necessary.
- Ensure safety and well-being at all times, both indoors and outdoors.
- Communicate regularly with the family regarding progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Support any therapies or exercises prescribed by the child’s healthcare providers.
- Help with light household tasks related to the child (e.g., tidying up play areas, preparing meals, etc.).
- Previous experience working with children with special needs, preferably in a nanny, caregiver, or childcare role.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR.
- Patient, caring, and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team with the child’s family.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible.
- Background check required.
